Cornwall has a really strong food culture, and nowhere is that more evident than in the Padstow area, Cornwall’s gastronomic capital.
As our self-catering cottages are spacious and the kitchens are fully equipped there is no need to go out if you don’t wish. You can easily find locally caught fish and Cornish goods at the nearest farm shop and in many stores. If you do go out you’ll be spoilt for choice among the pubs and restaurants (some within walking distance). If you would like even more choice try Padstow.
While best known for seafood chef Rick Stein this stretch of the North Coast has become Cornwall’s gastronomic capital. As well as Rick Steins there is Paul Ainsworth’s No 6, and Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen at Watergate Bay, alongside our favourites many of which are run by previous assistant to well known chefs.
As there is such a large choice of restaurants and bars we are drawing up a guide of our personal favourites, including prices and driving directions.

The Harlyn Inn is a stone’s throw from the Polmark, and is a beachside pub. It has a great atmosphere in the summer, and serves up a great value (and filling) carvery lunch and dinner.
Our recommendation has to be the tacos, and (when available) the local Rattler cider!

A great restaurant to watch the sunset over the golf course and out to sea. The restaurant at Trevose has long been a favourite of Polmark guests.
